THE project to return Dore & Totley station to twin-platform has taken a big step forward, with the installation of anew accessible footbridge as part of the Hope Valley Railway Upgrade work.
Six staircase units, each weighing 11.2tons, were lifted into place using a 200t road mobile crane, before the main bridge span, 15m in length and weighing 14.5 tons, was installed.
