More talks expected on home for No. 53
FURTHER discussions are expected regarding a future operational home for sole surviving Brighton Corporation Tramways passenger car No. 53.
No. 53, an F-Class tram, built in 1937, is being restored by the Brighton Tram 53 Society near Steyning in West Sussex. It operated for just two years before the system closed and was preserved in 2010 after spending decades on a farm.
