Following its arrival at the Leiston Works Railway in Suffolk in December (see last issue), former Puriton Royal Ordnance Factory Andrew Barclay No. 349 is pictured there on February 2. The reborn railway formed in 2010 when an opportunity arose to acquire a substantial section of the trackbed in the town. The group of volunteers have made good progress laying track between the local public house and the main street with the help of the 507 Specialist Team Royal Engineers (Railways), using bullhead rail acquired from dismantled railway lines at Ipswich Docks. It is hoped that in the not too distant future train rides can commence along the newly relaid line.
