Industrial steam locomotives deaccessioned by National Trust after change of focus at castle railway museum.
THE railway museum at Penrhyn Castle will look very different this year, following the departure of several standard and narrow gauge exhibits to new homes in other corners of the British Isles.
This follows a decision by the NationalTrust, which runs the NorthWales venue, to revamp the site. While rolling stock relating to the nearby Penrhyn Quarries has been retained, other items, including four industrial steam locos were relocated in late January and early February.
