Why do you run?
I started running as a single mum in my late 30s. I run because it gives me freedom, headspace and connection with nature. It also allows me to push my body. I run to make my parents proud as I lost them both a few years ago. I also run with my kids in mind. My daughter suffers from mental health issues and I need her to know you never give up; however tough things get, you just keep going. Recently, I trained with England Athletics to become a qualified run leader, helping others with their fitness through my initiative, JACKfit. I am also taking gym instructor and nutritionist courses as well as a master’s-level study in personal training.
