GREETINGS TO EVERYONE FOR THIS COMING SEASON

It certainly has been a hectic year: Richard worked hard organising the Pride Festivals which I mentioned last time; a big thank you to Miss Transliving for travelling from Ireland, she got ringing wet at Sparkle - must have felt like home - we all left wet through; oh, then nearly blown away at Southend. So for the last time this year, a hearty thanks to all those who have helped this year. So many times people have given their free time to go above and beyond to assist the group, and my gratitude to them is all never-ending.

I apologise as I was too unwell to attend Bournemouth weekend. I spent hours with paramedics and in hospital for scans etc. on the Thursday . . . grr it has got me behind with work again. Tina and Shane did an excellent job of making things work and I have had some good feedback already - my grateful thanks to them both.

WHAT A Triumph
Anyone who knows me will also know I have a passion for motorcycles and I have always wanted to own a Triumph because they’re a British company (sort of), and this year, I had planned to buy my first Triumph bike and in fact I’ve actually now bought 3 bikes this year, but not one of them ended up being a Triumph for one reason or another.

THE BRIGHTON SHOOT
“Girl, you need some fun!” I declared. So, I booked a short break at Blanch House, a bijou Victorian hotel in Brighton’s Kemptown. From the moment that I arrived, the staff were welcoming and kind to an old T-Girl, and I knew that this was going to be an enjoyable visit

BEST FACE FORWARD
This is the story of my time spent at beauty school as a “glam makeover model”. It all began one night while I was getting made up for a scene in the mini-series, When We Rise. The makeup artist (MOA) was telling me that she was an instructor at the Blanche Macdonald Centre in the Makeup Artistry Department. She said that exams were coming up and some of her students were in need of models, and that maybe I could volunteer if I had the time.

WHO IS LOBZANG JIVAKA?
As World War II broke out in 1939, Lobzang Jivaka began receiving testosterone therapy. He subsequently underwent gender-affirming surgeries - and legally registered as male. Despite being a pioneer, this trans man is not widely known. Warren Christopher Hallett attempts to change that.
