WALES have named a 36-strong training squad ahead of World Cup qualifiers which begin next month.
Tom Brindle’s team will host Ireland at Cardiff University Sports Park on Saturday, April 27 (2.45pm), and then play either Italy or Netherlands (who play-off on the same date) in their other Group A fixture in June.
The winners of the three-team group will qualify for the 2026 World Cup, to be held at a yet-to-be-announced location in the southern hemisphere, while the second-placed team will play-off against the runners-up in Group B (consisting of France, Greece and Serbia) for a place in the 2025 World Series against nations from other regions for the final qualification spot.
