Welcome to the July issue! It’s hard to believe that we’re in the second half of the year; time definitely seems to speed up the older I get. I remember the end of the school year when I was small – the summer holidays seemed to stretch out in front of me, six whole weeks of sunshine and friends and playing outside and going on holiday. Nowadays, six weeks pass in a flash! What I wouldn’t give for an uninterrupted summer with no responsibilities and plenty of time to do whatever I want!
As adults, it tends to be the weekends we live for, so in that spirit, this month we’ve put together a lovely selection of recipes that you’ll want to save for the weekend! I’m talking bao buns, scrambled ‘eggs’, chocolate cakes and burgers. Perfect for those meals that you can spend a little more time making and enjoying, whether it’s for a night in on your own or for a meal with your favourite people.
We’re also sharing some recipes that make use of meat replacements. It seems as though more and more people are waking up to the fact that reducing the meat on our plates is imperative, so we’re hoping to inspire everyone with recipes for Maple Glazed ‘Ham’, Pulled ‘Pork’ and Nutty Sausages amongst other things!
Rounding off the recipes this month are some ideas for cooking and baking with citrus fruits, using up the beans and pulses you have in your cupboards, and some fruity dessert recipes. As always, we love to know what you’ve cooked from PlantBased, so head over to
