A warm welcome to Issue 10 of Air-Style Magazine. Summer is here, show season is getting into full swing, and it’s another busy issue, with a great mix of vehicles and their stories for your enjoyment. Our cover vehicle this month is Jay Turnock’s awesome Drag Bus. Read all about this unique Bay in this issue. Colin Phillips gives us a tour of his ’68 Squareback, and if you fancy a bit of an air-cooled Porsche fix, you can check out Alun Owen’s ’76 912E. Bus historian and expert David Eccles looks at the story of Volkswagen’s Pick-up Truck while Richard Copping’s latest instalment of Brochure Line takes us back to 1967, looking at more of the fascinating Volkswagen promotional literature from back in the day. If colour is your thing, then our Harlequin Bug won’t disappoint or if you fancy something a bit more traditional, there’s a ’57 Kombi and trailer that’s sure to fit the bill. You don’t see an Oval for ages, then two come along at once! We have Kim Courten’s beautifully restored ’55 Oval, and you’ll also be able to read about Jordi Ollivier’s ’56. You have to go some to beat the elegance of a Karmann Ghia, and Adi Burrows’ red ’67 is no exception. Check out his story. This year saw the much-anticipated 3rd European Barndoor Gathering, held in its new location on ‘The Strip’ at Vliegveld Twenthe, in Enschede, Holland. Dave Warren got himself on the ferry to report on the event for Air-Style and you can read all about it, as well as feast your eyes on some amazing Buses. Talking of amazing Buses, the Wolfsburg Bus Crew recently travelled to the Dormobile HQ in Lyndhurst, Hampshire for their second annual meet, managing to put a smile on the face of the locals along the way. Check out the latest from the Crew. UTA’s regular section delivers us another amazing selection of all things low from around the globe; and take a look at Mark Thomson’s ’69 Deluxe Bay! All this and more awaits you in the pages ahead. Thanks for your support and we hope you enjoy reading it.

Like many great origin stories - the idea of Air-Style VW Magazine was conceived in a pub. Four like-minded friends knew that they weren't alone in their love for all things Volkswagen. They felt there was a gap in the market for the many that shared their passion, and believed that they could provide a service that speaks to the people in love with the cars, vans, music and lifestyle that makes the VW fandom so unique. Throughout the various pub meetings that followed, the premise grew from a concept into a fully functioning business plan. Their mission was simple… to provide VW enthusiasts with a dedicated publication in which they can learn more about their beloved brand, and share their experiences with other VW devotees.

Fast forward to today, and Air-Style VW Magazine has surpassed expectations. Proud to pair their own passion with fellow VW enthusiasts - Air-Style VW’s success has stemmed from the creators being genuine fans of the brand. Each issue is packed with a combination of car based content and real life stories that educate, inform, and inspire.
