Listen carefully, and you can just hear the distant sound of bells ringing from Rudolph’s collar as the last few safety checks are carried out on Father Christmas’ sleigh. Just before everyone breaks up for a heavy dose of festive fun, I just want to tell you about the latest issue of Diesel Car that is in the shops on 19th December. We’ve got news of the brand new MINI hatch, as well as the first details of Porsche’s baby SUV, the Macan, along with a whole host of other news and views.

We drive Audi’s brand new A3 Cabriolet, the Honda Civic Tourer and Ford’s Tourneo Connect, as well as the new nine-speed automatic version of the Range Rover Evoque, the facelifted Skoda Yeti and Vauxhall’s Insignia Country Tourer – perfect for the wintry weather we expect to arrive soon. Skoda’s Rapid Spaceback is driven on UK roads for the first time, and we get behind the wheel of the new Peugeot 308, Range Rover Sport SDV8 and SEAT Leon ST.

Chevrolet’s Trax goes head to head with one of its biggest crossover rivals, the Suzuki SX4 S-Cross, and we test Dacia’s value driven Logan MCV estate and the facelifted Hyundai ix35. There’s an in-depth guide to diesel particulate filters and how you can avoid problems, and we take a look at the American diesel market to assess the state of play. Finally, we’ve rerun last month’s MPG Marathon in the Honda CR-V 1.6 i-DTEC after previously falling at the last hurdle due to a faulty misfuelling device. This time, we’ve achieved some phenomenal figures that you won’t want to miss out on. We’ve got news of a mega mileage Volkswagen Golf, and this month’s used car buyer’s guide features the Vauxhall Antara 2.0 CDTi 16v, as well as a guide to the best used green diesel cars to buy. And then there’s the regular favourites like Marketplace, Doctor Diesel, Tuning News, The Extra Mile and the latest verdicts on all our long-term test cars.

diesel, green cars, electric mag

The UK’s leading magazine for diesel, green cars, electric, hybrids and alternative fuelled vehicles, full of advice on tech, mechanics, future plans. great photos inspiring reviews Revisto 21 agosto 2022

I like the way it has evolved over the years

I have been buying it in print and online since the early 2000s and I like that it always has focused on the economy end of motoring, or us cheapskates if you like. It has moved to covering hybrids and electric cars which is good, and hasn't forgotten its roots - diesels.

It's a friendly, down to early mag and Doctor Diesel is still the best bit.

Diesel Car & Eco Car

Best magazine out there. there is still room for improvement however. Revisto 18 março 2020

Very Informative

Appears to be a great publication. Wish I could get it in print in the states. Revisto 24 novembro 2012
