WORK continues at Downpatrick to return the railway and its rolling stock back to operational condition after the severe flooding in November that caused almost £3 million in damage.
One of the success stories has been the recruitment of several new volunteers, signing up to help with the post-flood recovery process.
“It has been heartening to see the situation result in the recruitment of several new volunteers to bolster our small crew. Every cloud indeed has a silver lining,”Downpatrick & County Down Railway chairman, Robert Gardiner told The RM.
