Woodturning

Issue 421 In issue 421 of Woodturning magazine we have lots for you to enjoy, beginning with our Guest Editor, Mike Stafford, who welcomes you to the issue; and offers the wealth of his experience to avoid dye disasters when adding colour to your turnings. In Projects, Andrew Potocnik creates a painted bowl from different-sized turned pieces; George Watkins turns a box with a floating lid; Les Symonds makes a Newton’s Cradle; Sue Harker makes a beaded vase; Rick Rich turns a rolling pin; James Duxbury conjures up a magical string toy; Kip Christensen and Rex Burningham turn a pen from a plastic blank and pen kit; Mark Palma completes some ‘orphan’ projects; and Andy Coates begins work on a miniature Windsor chair. In our Techniques section, Kurt Hertzog answers readers’ questions; and Richard Findley continues his box-making series with an apple-shaped box. In Features, we meet Mark Sutton who reconnected with turning after leaving the RAF and has a mission to share his knowledge. We also have a sneak peek at our next issue and updates from the turning community. All this and more in Woodturning 421!

Woodturning

Excellent magazine. I like how they have the plans and instructions for different projects.
Great how to and helpful ideas.
Only thing I would like to see is to have the dimensions in inches besides the millimeters for us nonmetric users... ??
