1 SOW grass seed onto bare patches that have been weeded, firmed and levelled. Use the right amount for the area.
Repair bare lawn patches cheaply with grass seed. Patches often appear after winter and if the early grass growth doesn’t fill the gaps, weeds will. Seed sown now can take up to three weeks to germinate, so protect sown areas with netting until green shoots appear.
2 TAMP the surface with the back of a rake to settle the soil and give the seed good contact with the soil for germination.
