Do you know what sucks more than ever before? No, not the continued existence of wasps, LinkedIn and Piers Morgan, but Dyson’s new robot vacuum cleaner. Its Hyperdymium motor spins at up to 110,000rpm, which makes it a claimed six times slurpier than other autonomous hoovers. Its simultaneous localisation and mapping system uses the 360° fisheye camera on top to seek out the spots it hasn’t cleaned, while dual-link suspension ensures it won’t get held up by any bumps in the carpet – but the brush bar can cope with hard floors too. The only thing that sucks in a different way is the battery life, which is 50mins – afull 25mins short of what you’d get from Dyson’s last robo-vac.
