Dolls House World Magazine Issue 344 Edição anterior

Only €6,99
Summer’s drawing to a close and the evenings are getting longer. That’s good news as it means you can get back into full mini-making mode again without feeling slightly guilty you should be outdoors.
It also signals that shows are thankfully starting to return with the major events like Miniatura and Kensington Dollshouse Festival both up and running.
If you can’t make either don’t worry. Put your feet up with a cup of coffee and enjoy this issue as we take you on a tour of some wonderful houses and roomboxes.
I’m sure you’ll be captivated by the magical Peter Pan nursery which proved to be a real family affair. There’s a house with 56 teapots hidden away, a fabulous sparkling jewellery store and a slightly more rustic shop built in an old orange crate. We’ve got so many rooms in so many different styles to show you.
Some amazing makers too, with some fascinating stories. Agnes Horvath found a mini cake-making tutorial on You Tube by accident and was whisked right in. “I can’t explain the feeling when you hold that first piece of mini food in your hand,” she said. “It’s like you got an entry into a tiny, secret world. I knew from the first second that I wanted to make more.”
Timea Vajonne discovered the hobby when she came across a twelfth scale display on a day trip in West Sussex and admits to being “mesmerised by this miniature world”. She now sells her characters to miniaturists around the world.
We’ve got lots of mini makes for you this issue too, plus some William Morris wallpaper and Beatrix Potter covers to cut out. And if you want to indulge in a last sunshine project then try your hand at the welly planters. They’ll remind you of summer all winter long.
