It’s showtime! The October NEC show is the largest exhibition of new motorhomes in the country and the springboard for next season’s new models.
With the industry currently enjoying a remarkable boom period, now is also the best time to order a vehicle so as to be able to get the spec you want and delivery before next spring.
Of course, some dealers will have large stocks of popular 2018 models arriving from about now, but other vehicles will be in short supply. Make sure you get the model you really want, and not a second choice, but also think about where the supplying dealer is geographically. If you’re not buying from your nearest retail outlet then do ask searching questions about who will put right any warranty issues after you take delivery...
If this is your first campervan or motorhome, don’t be pressured into a must-sign-today deal if you’re not 100% sure it’s the right layout, model and spec for you.
Always ensure you book a test drive, and consider carefully how you are going to use your new ’van – and who else in the family might also use it. Buying a motorhome is a complex process and buying the wrong ’van (and quickly trading it back to the dealer) can be a very costly error. But, when your shiny new vehicle is delivered, you enter a whole new lifestyle – and you’ll never look back.
