PAKISTAN'S HISTORY BOYS HEADING TO EMERALD ISLE
Ireland's first Test match will be played on home soil as they get ready to host Pakistan in May next year. The two sides reached an agreement during an ICC meeting in Auckland, though the exact date and venue for the clash has yet to be confirmed. Both Ireland and Afghanistan were given Test status in June when they became the 11th and 12th Full Members of the ICC, and Cricket Ireland has since been looking for the right opponents for a historic first match. And it will be Pakistan who will be the first to face the Emerald Isle with the visitors having been top of the Test rankings as recently as last year.
