We ask a lot of questions in this issue. I love questions. Good questions allow you to be curious, allow you to ‘not-know’, to see a di erent perspective or explore a new belief system. ‘How do you look like yourself?’ This is one of the questions we’re going to be exploring over the coming months in our new fashion column (page 24) written by brilliant stylist Mandy Lehto. In a recent meeting at work, I confessed to getting better at liking and accepting myself on the inside but
struggling with how I looked on the outside. At the age of 46, I feel intimidated by fashion and don’t quite know how to get my outside to match the inside. ‘Making conscious decisions about how we dress is a decision to show up and be real… dressing authentically is a testing ground where we can explore what’s evolving within us,’ says Mandy. Not sure what my baggy black jumper is saying, but I’m looking forward to finding out over the coming months. ‘How can we create more authentic relationships?’ is another question we explore this month with our wonderful relationship expert Sarah Abell. If we are to become emotionally naked, how do we find the courage and discernment
to know who to trust? Turn to page 38 to answer the life-changing question, ‘how would you act differently if you valued connection
over protection?’Not all questions are useful, though. ‘Who’s the best?’
is one that perhaps doesn’t help us to connect and creates competition instead of collaboration. What happens when you find yourself competing with your friends, asks Nadine Murphy on page 68, and how can we start being happy for each other again? And in our 16-page dossier starting on page 74, we ask the big question – can you really let it go? Be it trauma, a belief system or a relationship, is it possible to leave it
behind you? What do you think?
