superbikes after 30 years of continuous development and universal acclaim and build a V4 motor, the purists, the cynics and the internet warriors either held their breath or got busy with their keyboards. How could a bike have the heart, soul and sporting ability that defines a Ducati if it had the ‘wrong’ engine? Well, they needn’t have worried – Ducati’s new Panigale V4 actually feels like the best V-twin that Ducati have ever built. Booming, droning and effusive in the midrange, it builds into a crescendo of revs, power and rampant
