This month’s Auto Italia is full of unique surprises. On UK roads, there’s just one Alfa Romeo Crosswagon Q4 (the all-wheel drive Alfa 156), and we’ve driven it, putting in back-to-back with an almost equally rare 33 4x4, 159 Q4 and Stelvio Quadrifoglio. Also unique is an Enzo Ferrari in factory matt black. And yet another is the Vignale-bodied Fiat 8V convertible – the only ‘Otto Vu’ drop-top made in period. And as for Bertone’s 1965 Fiat-850 Spider based Abarth OTR 1000 coupe, that doesn’t exist at all. Luckily, someone’s made a superb replica and let us drive it! We’ve also now sat in the new Abarth 500e electric (and heard it…) as well as testing the new Fiat Doblò. We also round up our favourite concept car cabins of all time. And we’ve been out and about a lot this month, including Imola (to the Ferrari Finali Mondiali), Padova, Birmingham NEC, Goodwood and our own Autumn Motorsport Day at Brooklands.
Featuring:
ALFA ROMEO 4X4 GROUP TEST – Alfa’s all-wheel drive heroes: 33 4x4, 156 Crosswagon, 159 Q4 & Stelvio QV
FIAT 8V VIGNALE – Only one ‘Otto Vu’ was ever made as a convertible in period, and we’ve driven it
ENZO FERRARI – The story of the one and only matt black Enzo, once owned by the Brunei royal family
FIAT-ABARTH OTR 1000 – We drive a superb replica of Bertone’s 1965 Fiat 850 Spider-based Abarth prototype
ABARTH 500e – What do we think of Abarth’s all-new electric offering, having seeing it in the metal?
CONCEPT CAR CABINS – From Ferrari Modulo to Maserati Boomerang, which are our favourite ever interior designs?
GOODWOOD REVIVAL – AUTUMN MOTORSPORT DAY – AUTO E MOTO D’EPOCA – NEC CLASSIC MOTOR SHOW – FERRARI FINALI MONDIALI – FIAT DOBLO – OBSCURATI
