Plant nerine bulbs in containers so they can be easily moved to follow the sun
Start off nerines now for glorious flowers this autumn. Nerines love good drainage, so plant them into large pots of peat-free multipurpose compost with a couple of handfuls of grit mixed into each one, making sure each pot has at least one clear drainage hole.
Plant the bulbs just below the compost surface, so the neck of the bulb sticks out above the soil. Space them 7-10cm apart before watering them in. Position the pot in a warm, sunny spot, ideally by the shelter of a south-facing wall.
