We all know that the UK and Ireland possesses some of the finest rally drivers, rally cars and rally stages anywhere on the planet. And in the latest issue of Pacenotes, we've focussed on the spiritual home of some of Ireland's most beloved homegrown heroes – the Irish National Championship!

Indeed, the Irish National Championship is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, making this the ideal opportunity to relive some of the most compelling moments from the series' long and storied history courtesy of Kevin O'Driscoll's encyclopedic knowledge.

The Championship continues to serve up some reliably compelling action each and every year. We’ve got an interview with Championship Chairman and head honcho, Declan Tumilty, not to mention a look at the future of the series with Martin Walsh.

Matt Edwards etched his name into the annals of rallying history by securing his second consecutive British Rally Championship title on the Galloway Hills rally.

An impressive 14 different rallies are covered in our customary, highly detailed manner, including the inaugural Rali Bae Ceredigion as well as the Clare, Galway, Lakeland, Woodpecker and Mewla, plus many, many more.

We have all the coverage from the WRC’s trip to the Middle East, plus a guest column from one of rallying’s most popular media personalities, Becs Williams.

Scott Williams is more closely associated with playing rugby for the Llanelli Scarlets and the Welsh national team but the South Walian has a long-standing passion for motorsport at all levels, particularly rallying. His immaculately prepared, impressively driven MkII Escort is the star of our ‘In My Garage’ feature this month.

You can find all of this and much, much more in the October issue of Pacenotes Rally Magazine. So don't miss out...make sure you grab your copy quick! Order print and digital versions online at www.rallymag.com or call 028 4066 0390.
