The Darkside  |  The Darkside 231
Hammer fans are in for a particular treat with this issue because we have fascinating interviews with two people who worked for Britain’s most famous horror studio back in the day. First of all there’s Frances Matthews, TV’s Paul Temple (and the voice of Captain Scarlet) who appeared in the likes of The Revenge of Frankenstein, Dracula: Prince of Darkness and Rasputin: The Mad Monk. We also chat with Renée Glynne, long-time script supervisor for Hammer, who started working for them back in the 1950s when they were called Exclusive Films. Blood of the Vampire (1958) wasn’t a Hammer picture but it certainly imitated their style, and we check that out too. Also in this issue you’ll find an interview with the director of the infamous Video Nasty, Don’t Go in the House, and Debbie Harry and James Woods talk Videodrome! Do we offer value for money or not?
