GLITCH FORCES LEWIS INTO SECOND PLACE IN MELBOURNE
Mercedes bosses say that they will work flat-out to eradicate a computer glitch which it says was responsible for Lewis Hamilton losing the season opening Australian Grand Prix on Sunday. Hamilton dominated the qualifying session to grab pole position and led the early part of the race before his pitstop on lap nineteen, when he switched from ultrasoft to soft Pirelli tyres. At that point, he had an eight second gap over eventual winner Sebastian Vettel.
