Garden Rail  |  May 2020
While on the Isle of Man last year, we tracked down Ian Beech, builder of The Lighthouse and Gorsebank Railway hidden away on the northern tip of the island. This amazing G scale line runs around his cottage and operates completely automatically.
As usual, there are some great practicals including the conversion of an LGB Stainz locomotive into a Dutch steam tram, making your own people, building a sawmill, kitbuilding some bargain FR Bugbox coaches and restoring a Caradoc steam loco.
To finish, we take a look at delightful level crossing model, just the sort of detail we can all find space for on our outdoor lines.
