Virtual Reality
When I first started playing airlift, the parallel between playing first-person shooter games like Call Of Duty or Battlefield, or any of the others that were around at the time, was a taboo subject. People didn't like to make any links between what happened in those games and what happened at a skirmish, i actually remember getting pretty heavily chastised on a forum at one point for suggesting that airlift was like "live action Call Of Duty". Airsofters at that time didn't like the link being made.
It's really interesting then, that in 2016 we are starting to see things change around a little bit. Sure, the computer game-inspried load out has been around for a while followed not long after by attempts to make airlift videos look like computer game footage but now I've noticed a more wholesale change.
