Well Being Journal  |  Vol. 25 No. 3 MayJune 2016
This May/June 2016 issue is the third of our 25th anniversary year, and in it we present a central piece by Leslie Korn, PhD, who asserts inadequate nutrition leads to poor mental health and then shows the path to help nurture mental wellness. In “Prescription for Self-Love,” Stephen Sinatra, MD, encourages self-love stating that when you truly love yourself you create healthy, balanced relationships with others. Leslie Shore, MA, says being truly present helps nurture relationships, and she encourages turning off electronic devices that rob our attention from our loved ones. When we focus on one task at a time Mary Heath writes in her article, we can manage our stress levels more effectively. CJ Puotinen explores issues pertaining to Lyme disease and explains various medical treatments available in both conventional and integrative medicine. Laura Ehlers cautions about hidden toxins in our home and offers nontoxic remedies. Shannon McRae explains how maintaining a healthy connection with your greater self, practicing forgiveness, and expressing grief can lead to greater well-being. Finally, Scott Miners tells his personal story of healing a bee sting using natural remedies. As usual, this fascinating issue of the Journal also includes many shorter articles as well as scintillating research items too numerous to mention here!
