THE LOGLINE FOR THE LATEST film by Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert (collectively known as Daniels), Everything Everywhere All At Once, says it’s about an “exhausted Chinese American woman who can’t seem to finish her taxes.” But that leaves out the sci-fi, action-thriller about multiverses, the difficulty of generational divides and digital-age ennui. Mix all that together and you get a little closer to what this heartfelt, trippy, absurdist film is about.
