Grix's pleasure as Panthers pair commit

HALIFAX PANTHERS coach Simon Grix is more than happy to have tied down backrowers Ben Kavanagh and Ryan Lannon on contract extensions to the end of next year as he tries to minimise a close-season turnover of players.

Halifax-born Scotland star Kavanagh, 35, joined from Hull KR in 2019 having earlier played for Widnes and Bradford while Lannon, 27, moved from Salford, where he was in a second spell, in early April, having also been at Hull KR.
