Where to begin after round 2, Argentina?
Super Cal Crutchlow. That’s where. In years to come I hope we will look back on this weekend and remember not the #TermasClash (ugh… more on that later), but what was a masterful and possibly career-defining race from the greatest Coventrian rider since Lady Godiva.
Crutchlow left the Termas de Rio Hondo Circuit as the first Brit to lead the MotoGP World Championship since Barry Sheene triumphed in Venezuela in 1979.
Crutchlow is hugely respected by his peers, being frighteningly quick on his day, a straight talker with no interest in the GP circus razzmatazz and a really tough but very precise racer; the recipe for his success in Argentina.
