Siân Reynish, Doctor Who’s new VFX co-ordinator.
‘‘You have it in you to be a fine
co-ordinator,” the Fifth Doctor told Tegan in his 1982 debut story,
Castrovalva.
He could have offered exactly the same encouragement to Siân Reynish, who joined the world of
Doctor Who as a runner on Invasion of the Bane, the pilot for The Sarah Jane Adventures, and now takes on the role of VFX co-ordinator.
“Learning a whole other department is really keeping me on my toes,” says Siân, who liaises between the production team and independent effects houses.
“It really is like no other show I’ve worked on. But it never feels like work. It feels like everyone really wants to do it, to get a great end goal.”
