Dancing Times  |  March 2019
In this latest issue of Dancing Times we highlight some of the world’s leading choreographers. Mark Morris Dance Group is about to embark on a lengthy tour of the UK this month with the wonderful Pepperland, presented by Dance Consortium, and I travelled to California to talk to Mark Morris about the production inspired by The Beatles. We also catch up with Cathy Marston, who recently won the Best Classical Choreography Award for Ballet Black’s The Suit at the National Dance Awards, and who is about to unveil Victoria, her latest project for Northern Ballet.
In addition, we hear from director and choreographer Kader Belarbi, who leads the Ballet du Capitole in Toulouse, interview Strictly Come Dancing professional Dianne Buswell, about to star in a new stage show, Here Come The Girls, and discover the winners at both the UK Open and The Critics’ Circle National Dance Awards.
Finally, all at Dancing Times would like to say “hello” to the visitors at MOVE IT, the UK’s largest dance event, held at London’s ExCeL from March 8 to 10, who may be reading the magazine for the very first time. We hope you like what you see!
