Dancing Times  |  June 2017
This month, we pay special tribute to Zenaida Yanowsky, a much-admired ballerina in the Dancing Times office, who will be leaving The Royal Ballet at the end of the current season. Interviewed by Zoë Anderson, she happily tells us that although she is retiring from the company, she will continue with her dancing career for the time being.
In this issue, we also hear from three very different choreographers: Richard Alston, Diego Romay and Jasmin Vardimon. In his article Dancing your way to business, Northern Ballet dancer Gavin McCaig thinks dancers have more skills than they realise; and in Quickstep to the rescue, Alison Gallagher-Hughes hears how Alexandra Hixson and Andrey Sirbu went about saving the Piccadilly Ballroom in Bournemouth.
As ever, there is a huge amount of news plus views from across the entire dance world in the magazine, including the announcement of the new judge on Strictly Come Dancing.
