Custom Car  |  Oct-22
Custom Car is under new management – but it’s still the same magazine you’ve become used to.
It’s still a magazine about hot rods, customs and drag racing. It’s still about the cars, the shows and the people. And it’s still the work of the best team in the business.
In this issue, Dave Biggadyke reports on the NSRA Supernationals – an event so huge it’s going to take us two issues to cover it fully. The final instalment of Dave’s three-parter on this year’s Spring Rumble is also in this issue, along with James Webber’s reports on the Plus Four Four and Duchy Capri Club’s 2022 shows.
Then there’s the cars, in a brace of articles penned by Mike Pye. Steve Neimantas’ ’61 Caddy is just jaw-droppingly beautiful to look at. And so is the brace of rodded Fords run by Mark and Dudley Palmer – a deceptively standard looking ’35 Panel Delivery and a wonderfully understated ’40 sedan.
There’s more too, of course. Keith Lee looks at the history of Santa Pod’s celebrated Cannonball, and we’ve also got the story of this year’s Main Event. And this month’s archive feature looks at one of the first Brit-built C-Cabs – in the words of none other than former editor Colin Gamm. It might be under new management, but you can rely on Custom Car to be a magazine that knows its history!
