FIRST BLOOD TO FERRARI
Sebastian Vettel insists that Ferrari’s return to the top step of the podium in Australia last weekend is just the tip of the iceberg in the manufacturer’s
road map to regain the world championship. Vettel handed Ferrari its first Formula 1 grand prix victory for almost two years by beating Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton in a straight fight around Melbourne last weekend. It marked the Scuderia’s first F1 win since Singapore in 2015 also won by Vettel, the first time a Ferrari driver has led the world championship since 2013, and put Ferrari top of the Constructors’ for the first time since 2012. Vettel said the result was down to the hard work of the team back at Maranello in getting Ferrari’s bid to fight at the front of the sport back on track.
