VW Magazine Australia  |  VW Magazine Australia Issue#57
In Issue#57 Feb-April 2018, we feature a very special 1961 Ragtop Beetle that has been painstakingly converted to fully automatic by Ben Laube from South Australia. Volkswagen never produced a fully automatic air-cooled bug, so Ben has spent many hours converting his ragtop by modifying the pan and body to accept a 70s Type 3 auto. It’s a great story about a great car.
Also featured in this issue:
• A Canadian 1958 Beetle which migrated to Australia in the 60s
• A pair of show winning Purvis Eureka kit cars belonging to Trevor and Julie Bodinar (including the history on Purvis)
• A Type 3 Squareback belonging to Bernie Hart
• And Barry Cripps' 5” chop top drag Beetle.
Show coverage includes both the Victorian and WA Day Of The Volkswagen shows, Volksfest from Adelaide, and Buggy Fest at Noosa. The Qld Cartel Mk1 cruise is featured, plus technical, motorsport, books and toys - if it’s VW related, then VWMA will cover it.
