Scottish Islands Explorer  |  Oct-Nov 2020
Welcome to the October/November edition of Scottish Islands Explorer as 2020 continues its rather uncertain path. But we have tried to avoid the ‘big issue of the day’ and focus on the Isles we all love.
This time, there’s more about writing and writers, and particularly St Kilda, including the definitive story of the last Great Auk ever to exist. We have insights into everything from the first steamship to serve any of the islands - and a modern flight with hazards of fog and delay. And, of course, life on many islands, big and small. Plus loads of other news, views and information from all points of the compass.
We are always very grateful for all the feedback from loyal readers and contributors and will always attempt to improve our work in line with your views.
