Evergreen  |  Winter 2022
In your Winter 2022 edition of Britain's Lovely Little Green Quarterly we are very sadly marking the death of HM The Queen. Although we knew she couldn’t last forever, it was a very sad day indeed on 8 September, and Paul James's warm profile and tribute feature in this edition. We have some lovely stories to mark the start of the festive season. 'Baubles and Bath Cubes' is Margaret Hilton’s charming tale of her family Christmases spent with her six sisters and their muddled Santa (aka Dad), and in 'Percy’s Post Bag', Julie Britchford remembers one of her favourite Christmases, and we have several other seasonal offerings, including a poem from a talking Christmas tree. Christmas being the time for films, we have a great profile of Vivien Leigh in Cinemagic, and a reminder of Daphne du Maurier’s 'Rebecca' in Literary Pilgrim, which was made into an Oscar-winning film. Patrick Moore is in TV Memories, Bill Haley is in our Juke Box feature, and superfan Lin Bensley writes about jazz musician turned radio comedy great Humphrey Lyttelton.
