American Miniaturist  |  Issue 235
As you may have noticed, we have been spreading holidays over a few issues of American Miniaturist. Sometimes you start a project very close to a holiday because you are inspired seeing signs of it all around. Then, after the holiday has passed, you may still be wrapping up the project and need a few more ideas. So we are trying to give you a little something before, during and after the special holidays that we have come to expect and love each year.
I want to encourage our readers to think outside of the box when they are reading through the tutorials. Don’t forget, you can always use the basis of the tutorial and change the scale to suit your needs. So if it has fabric, you want to choose a thinner fabric for smaller scales. You can even take the rose tutorial in this issue and make that into a rose bush instead of a bouquet!
As miniaturists we rarely take something at face value. We tend to see many possibilities in one object, so why not use that same philosophy when reading through the how-to projects?
I wish you lots of love and hope your upcoming spring season is full of color and wonder!
