Bead & Jewellery Magazine  |  Issue 116
Gardening has become a bit of a passion for me over the last couple of years, and as I sit here now surrounded by the flowers I take so much inspiration from and the veg I have to protect from my little munching bunny, Fudge, the sun is shining, and my beads lay off to one side waiting for me to get back to them. I find there is just something so wonderful about beading outside, and it seems to add a new spark of joy to whatever I’m making. I have wondered why I find beading outside in the summer such a joyous thing and realise it’s possibly because of all the colour I see whilst out and about. From sitting on the beach looking out to the sea whilst the sun beats down, making the waves and my crystals sparkle, the blooms popping up in gardens and parks filling me with ideas and designs or even that the colours I wear are brighter when I’m out and about in the summer. Overall, summer sun does wonders for me and my beading, and from all the stunning summer designs we have in this issue, I think our designers would agree with me.
