The Searcher  |  November
What’s new in this issue?
On the cover this month is only one of a few known globally. An Anglo Saxon gold penny (or mancus) which is said to be have been used for presentational purposes and worth 30 silver pennies. Exclusively we also have a beautiful counterseal matrix made for an Archbishop and a lovely gold Medieval momento mori ring made for the family of a Lord Chief Justice of the Court. Also in the issue Nick Stevens shares more finds from the Thames foreshore and Paul Bancroft returns to his favourite Medieval sites. There’s of course much, much more in this issue.
