D-DAY LOOMS AS COUNTY GAME FACES BIG CHANGES
A radical restructuring of the domestic schedule that will see the number of County Championship games controversially reduced from next summer looks set to be approved by the England & Wales Cricket Board on September 22nd. That date is effectively D-Day for the English domestic game, when the ECB’s management board will decide to either rubber-stamp or reject what would be the biggest shake-up to county cricket since the introduction of two divisions fifteen years ago.
