BROAD IS THE RECORD-BREAKER
Stuart Broad was the hero of Hobart after he struck the winning runs in a record-breaking clash. Chasing 222-4 – itself a Big Bash total record set by the Melbourne Renegades, Hobart Hurricanes had Ben McDermott’s 114 to thank for getting them anywhere near. McDermott struck the first century of this season’s Big Bash with his knock coming from 52 balls. McDermott, 22, is the son of former Australia bowler Craig and it was his first game of the season, filling in for Kumar Sangakkara.
