Not standing for less
Millions of mainly older people seem to have been forgotten in the announcement by the regulator Ofgem that the price of electricity and gas was being cut this month by around 12% for a typical bill. But one group is being discriminated against. That is the nine million people who do not pay by direct debit nor have a prepayment meter – they pay in the old-fashioned way every three months by cash or cheque when their energy bill arrives.
