PAUL HOLLYWOOD GIVES US A TASTE OF HIS FAVOURITE FOOD MEMORIES
Six years ago Paul Hollywood was transformed from successful baker to
TV star, thanks to his stint as a judge on BBC’s The Great British Bake Off. His baking know-how and affectionate banter with fellow judge Mary Berry, not forgetting those bright blue eyes were the perfect recipe for a new star baker. Recently, the 50-year-old has branched out from his usual British based recipes to globetrot for a new book, The Weekend Baker, and a TV series, City Bakes, for The Food Network. ‘All of my previous books have been based here,’ he says. ‘So I leapt at the chance to write about food from other countries.’ In this issue, we've persuaded him to talk to us about some of his favourite food-related memories.
