I hope this June issue finds you well! Often, when I write my letter to you for this page, there’s a slight disconnect in the weather outside the window, and what I imagine you are experiencing when you read this (print magazines being what they are, we are always working a little way ahead). But today, the sun is shining and it’s actually quite warm, so I’m finding it a lot easier to bring those summer days to mind!
I’m always excited to start work on a new issue, and find some exciting recipes to share with you all. This month, to celebrate the start of British Tomato Week on 23rd May, we’ve collated some of our favourite recipes that celebrate this incredibly versatile ingredient. We’ve also opened our Nutritionist’s Notebook to the tomatoes page; take a look and discover everything you need to know.
We’re also celebrating vegan ‘seafood’; since Seaspiracy aired on Netflix last year, more and more people have been trying to reduce the amount of fish on their plates. Eliminating animal products doesn’t necessarily mean that we stop missing the taste of them, so we’re sharing some recipes that give you all of the flavour and texture, with none of the cruelty or environmental impact.
Elsewhere, we’ve got light lunches covered, as well as freezable meals and French cuisine. We’ve got something for everyone this month, whether you’re planning a dinner party or just trying to get your meal plan sorted for the days ahead.
