Dolls House and Miniature Scene Magazine May 2015 (Iss 252) Edição anterior

Cast your mind back to last year and the amazing 1/12th scale WW1 bunker project by Celia Thomas and Robin Britton of Nostalgia in Miniature Workshops. It was my first real experience of a feature build and when it arrived at DHMS HQ I was blown away by all of the intricate detailing and how they had used everyday household items to re-create a piece of history.

Once showcased in the magazine the bunker sat proudly on display at autumn Miniatura and proved to be a massive crowd pleaser.

Shortly afterwards I met with Celia and Robin to chat (over a cake and a cup of tea) about the popularity of the bunker and to discuss future projects. Six months down the line I’m over the moon to be presenting to you the first part of their idyllic camping scene, a versatile scene evoking happy memories of childhood adventure in 1/12th scale. It’s inspired by outdoor adventure stories featuring the children from classics such as The Famous Five and Swallows and Amazons.

That just leaves me to say that unfortunately your June issue of Dolls House and Miniature Scene will see a slight rise on the cover price. It’s news that the team hate to break, but the best way to safeguard yourself from the increase is to subscribe. So if you really don’t want to miss out on all the great content we have planned for the rest of this year, make sure you turn to page 24.
