One of the suggestions that came up in the responses to our recent Readers’ Survey was a request for more articles on classical ballet technique. I’m delighted to announce that this month sees the start of a regular new series on the subject, written specially for Dancing Times by Rachel Rist, director of dance at Tring Park School for the Performing Arts, who is also one of the magazine’s editoral advisors. The articles are aimed at teachers, students and parents alike, and will be illustrated with photographs of students from Tring Park School. Rachel’s column will complement the popular articles on ballroom and Latin techniques that we already publish each month by James Whitehead and Phil Meacham.
Also in this issue, we hear from former English National Ballet principal Laurretta Summerscales, who now dances with the Bavarian State Ballet in Munich; from Robin Windsor, the ballroom and Latin dancer, and Strictly Come Dancing favourite, who is about to embark on his Farewell Tour; and Michael “Mikey J” Asante and Kenrick “H2O” Sandy of Boy Blue Entertainment. In addition to all this, we include much, much more about dance from around the UK and abroad. There is a lot to read; all of us at Dancing Times hope you enjoy it.

Dancing Times

I think more contemporary dance reviews and dance artists from this discipline are missing. I love the magazine, it only seems to cover mainly ballet and ballroom. Revisto 15 agosto 2020

Great read??

Amazing product and is so lovely to read about our current dancers and choreographers!! Revisto 28 janeiro 2019
