ROMANIAN AIRLINE Animawings revealed plans to expand its fleet after Greek carrier Aegean Airlines sold its 51% majority shareholding in the company to tour operator Memento Group, making the latter the sole owner.
The fleet expansion will focus on the Airbus A220 and A320neo, with 12 aircraft expected to join the carrier in the next three years. The airline has said that the first two A220-300s will arrive this summer. No timeframe has been given for the arrival of the A320neo, but Animawings noted that it would use the type on highercapacity routes.
