How To Be Kind, Calm, Caring and Brave
It’s normal and natural to feel a little worried in unsettled times. But what happens when worry starts to dominate your life? This bookazine will give you great strategies to help you tackle the anxiety in your life. We’ve asked top writers and brilliant experts to give us their best advice so you can create your own self-help plan to help manage the way you feel on a daily basis.

Our Be Kind section invites you to observe how you speak to yourself and gives strategies on how to become your own cheerleader as opposed to your best critic. In our Be Calm section, we look at how anxiety presents itself and how you can establish a self-help regime that will help you combat the symptoms and source of your anxiety. We are focusing on self-care in Be Caring, and we have asked wellness experts, therapists, and writers to give us their best strategies and tips on how to look after yourself when you’re feeling like you need some TLC, so you can feel good fast. In our fourth section, Be Brave, we look at how to navigate uncertainty. So much anxiety is caused by trying to control the things we cannot control, and writer Anita Chaudhuri explores how to increase your emotional intelligence and regulate your emotions inside, no matter what is happening on the outside.
Also, don’t miss Julie Gibson’s moving article on page 6 about reconnecting with her inner child and Oliver Burkeman’s piece on page 90 on how to sleep like a log, no matter how worried you feel. There’s always help at hand. Just don’t struggle alone. Start today by educating yourself about how to support yourself. You will feel better by taking the first step. By reading this bookazine, you’re on the right path.
